BUILDERS OF CHANGE

WOMEN LEADING PEACE (WLP) is a group of women peacebuilders, both inside and outside Afghanistan, dedicated to empowering and mentoring other women peacebuilders to collectively lead change, reclaim our narratives, and advocate for our needs, aspirations and demands.

OUR MISSION

The overall mission is a peaceful Afghanistan where every Afghan can access their full potential and live-in dignity and in peace, not only in the absence of negative peace but in the absence of structural violence.

OUR VISION

Our vision is an Afghanistan where there are no hurdles for women to lead peace and transform conflict, and where women are at the center and the driver of positive change in their communities.

ADVOCACY

WLP Team pic3.png

Provide training and resource allocation for Afghan women advocates and activists, ensuring they're equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to advocate effectively.

COALITION BUILDING

Unite Afghan woman's rights activists from the diaspora, those within Afghanistan and women from diverse resistance movements to form a unedified force and collaborate effectively.

AMPLIFY VOICES

Gather stories, surveys, and messages directly from Afghan women on the ground to highlight their needs and demands and raise their efforts on the international stage.

INSPIRE

Work to overcome Afghan women's meaningful participation in decision-making processes and inspire others to join the cause or take action in support.
